The first thing you want to think of before selecting your Christmas tree is where do you want to put it. Do not put the tree near heating vents, radiators, sunny windows, or hearths. Put your tree in a more insulated spot but still where people can see it.

Measure the height of your ceiling and the width of the space you decided to put the Christmas tree. This will help you a lot lateron when going to shop for the tree. Also measure your tree stand to know the diameter of the tree trunk you can use. Measure too the height of your tree stand and the length of your treetop decoration.

Remember to bring your tape measure with you when you go shopping for your tree, and bring the measurings you put down on paper.

To protect your car, truck or van from pine needles and sap use and old blanket. Also you should bring some construction gloves for your hands protection. Unless the farm has one bring some rope or twin to bind your tree to your car.

Ensure your tree stand is prepared, strong enough and has the proper size. If you need a new stand recall, the taller the tree, the larger the diameter of the trunk. Have a bucket of water handy when approaching home, that your tree has some water to drink.

Note: In case you need a new Christmas tree stand, make sure to check the Kinner Genie Tree Stand. Mounting the Christmas tree becomes really easy with the patented Foot Pedal Ratchet System. You just need to put the tree within and step on the foot pedal to make five clinches take the trunk and fix it. An average Christmas tree has plenty supply for about 2 to 3 days, as the base can hold up to 2 gallons of water.

You are up to select you Christmas tree, once the above steps are accomplished.
